And….. It happened. Another one of my biggest fears came true. Not only did Benioff and Weiss rip off the story of Agamemnon sacrificing his daughter Iphigenia whilst trying to get to Troy, they also failed to understand the context of this Greek classic. So instead of killing a child in a brutal fashion one can argue that they had the opportunity of doing something else completely – making Shireen looking like a true here by the means of sacrifice done out of love for her father and for the greater good of the realm. Who knows, maybe the Gods would save her for this act of courage? Instead, now, on one hand we have Shireen dead and on the other we have Stannis, the confirmed kinslayer (who did not only kill his brother second hand but his daughter too).

Can we take a moment to appreciate the last fifteen minutes of what will soon be known as the best episode of season 5?

…………

The general consensus among the fans is that the pacing is slightly off this season. However, with this episode the season finally picked up steam. EPISODE 8 – Hardhome

Daenerys will discard Jorah like she usually does and instead will take Tyrion as her new member of the council. Fans will go wild. Two fan favorites are finally together. Rejoice.

Cersei is still locked up trying to figure out how to get out of this peril. Maybe her uncle Kevan finally comes back and helps her? Maybe Quburn? Maybe no one. Poor Cersei, all alone.

Most of the episode will be negotiation and a battle at Hardhome. White Walkers will come and fight Jon. He will survive. Maybe. Either way he will get injured. What happens with a human that is injured by a WW weapon? IS he now marked? Or…Anyways, Considering Night’s King is a Stark will tell him “Jon, I am your father.” Jon will cut off his arm in self defense and flee.

EPISODE 9 – A Dance of Dragons

Daenerys will…
